Had a really good morning on rush made some good calls early on where people where bluffing at the pot with not a lot. Some people are so aggressive as soon as you check they think they can bet you off the pot, specially on the river, when you just take a minute to think about how they played the hand you can pretty quickly put them on not a lot.
Anyway here is my graph for todays session:
Poker Diary and Bankroll Management Featuring StevenJacobs87
Diary of my amateur poker experience on FullTilt. Featuring me StevenJacobs87. I have made this website to try and help those amateur poker players out there improve their game and increase their bankroll. I'm only an amateur playing low stake poker and would also like your input to help me improve my game as I still have a lot to learn.

Progress Update
Started playing higher stakes at $0.10 and $0.25 blinds in the hope that I will be playing better players who don't call with silly hands and without pot odds and then hit on the river. From the graph below you will see I have refined my game and although I have had a dip I beginning to slowly make profit again. I have been trying really hard to keep the pot small when I don't have a big hand and ensuring I'm controlling the pot size accordingly throughout the hand.

Bad Day Playing Rush
Another fustrating day, lost $40 playing rush. Problem today was that when I hit top pair with the best kicker I'd find myself up against a bigger hand. I just can't get away from my hand at the end and I just don't give them credit for the good hand they may have. Happened a lot today, the fact is I called I just called all my money away, could be that I was in a bad frame of mind and wasn't thinking clearly. I need to think about what hands beat me, what hands potentially they could have, if their betting follows this pattern and what hand are they putting me on.
Kept making rookies mistakes like calling with AK after flop with nothing and calling draws without the correct odds. I will post a graph in the next few days so you can the massive deep in my graph. When I first sit down and start playing I always lose a few silly hands until I get going. It is so difficult not to get annoyed and not to call every bet because you think it is a bluff.
Sometimes you need a little bit of luck and today I just didn't have. I get small stacks all in with a low pair when I had AK and didn't win any of the 50/50. There were times when I had someone all in with KK and they'd suck out with their 10 10. What can I do.

After Flop Play Help Needed
I have been playing a few tournaments the last couple of days and I'm struggling a little bit on after flop play and betting, I think this is partly down to not having a clue what cards my opponent could have. So when I do bet into the pot and my opponent calls I don't know what cards to put them on. I get pushed around a little to easily after the flop specially by the bigger stacks at the table. How could I stop them from pushing me around?
If you could give me some advice or some general strategies to help me with my after flop play and betting that would be a great help.

Made The Money
Played a $5000 guarnteed tournament last night, $6 buy-in. Started off really badly but then got going and started hitting a few hands and all the coin flips I had where I was all in I won. There were 992 players entered and 135 got paid. After winning the few all ins I was in a fairly good position to make the money. Didn't have many good hands to play after that so just sat around till I made the money.
I got down to the last 60 and had AJ on the button and someone raised 2 1/2 times the big blind before me which was a standard raise for them, so for me that was an easy call and a hand worth seeing a flop with. So I called and the flop came 5h Ah 9d, they both checked so of course I had to bet and made a raise of half the pot size. He then went all in and I had to call, he turned over Kh Qh and the turn card came 2h. I was so fustrated because if I had won the had I would be in the top 10 in terms of stack size. Some times I guess on those big hands at the end of the tournament you need just that little bit of luck. Still I'm happy with the way I played, finished 60th place and won $13.

Bad Day
Had a really bad day today, been playing rush for the majority of the day and lost about $50. All my hard work had gone to waste. Every hand I was up against today had me beat, think I run into Aces about 4 or 5 times and lost most my stack each time.
I'm at the stage now where I'm playing 9 player $5 buy-in sit & go's. I'm doing pretty well made top 3 in 3 out of 4 making some of my cash back. I'm seriously thinking about taking a day or two break so i can come back fresh and clear headed but will the addiction take over haha.
